Crenças éticas dos consumidores sobre o consumo de produtos ilegais no Brasil

Este estudio evaluó creencias sobre el consumo de productos ilegales en Brasil. El comportamiento deshonesto del consumidor ha sido estudiado en varios países y este estudio da fe de su contribución al identificar y actuar sobre este vacío de investigación en América Latina. Se adoptó el método cualitativo y un enfoque exploratorio abductivo. La revisión y adaptación del CES se realizó y apoyó los protocolos de entrevistas semiestructuradas aplicadas a quince participantes, consumidores potenciales seleccionados en el Shopping 25 de Março y en la Galería Pagé, ambos en la región central de la ciudad de São Paulo. Los resultados sugieren una mayor tolerancia a actos deshonestos en la dimensión no-daño en relación con las otras dimensiones, siendo los principales argumentos: disponibilidad, precio del producto ilegal y el bajo poder adquisitivo de los consumidores. Los consumidores culpan a la ausencia del gobierno por la disponibilidad y magnitud del mercado ilegal en Brasil, rechazan productos robados y aceptan productos pirateados en la misma proporción. Aducen que les cuesta diferenciar qué es ilegal y no se reconocen responsables de actuar para refutar los productos dudosos. El arrepentimiento no estaría relacionado con la culpa o la ilegalidad, sino con sentirse engañado por la baja calidad de los productos ilegales.
